Our public bike system is up and running in 10 cities and other locations across the world, in every climate imaginable. The system now boasts over 14,600 bikes, 1,135 stations and 300,000 users.
The capacity for rapid global implementation is one of the key principles governing any alternative urban transportation project we undertake.
-
Proven and perfected
Our system has been in operation for more than three years. All physical system components have demonstrated time and again their ability to withstand extremes of climate and the rigours of urban travel. The software running the system is extremely robust and reliable, with an in-service rate of 99.7%.
No project leaves PBSC Urban solutions without being proven and perfected to our very demanding criteria.
-
Integrated design is its own reward
Our system was created from a clean sheet with the intention of marrying the practical with the aesthetic. It was designed to be an enhancement to the urban landscape, not an impediment to enjoying it.
This assiduous attention to form and function has been recognized worldwide by a number of awards.

Municipal experience
Because of the international scale of our projects and the fact that we are a quasi-public entity, we have a profound expertise in dealing with municipal and other levels of government. This kind of experience seems in shorter supply in companies operating in the private sector.
-
No urban upheaval
Because of its modular nature and its reliance on solar power and wireless communications, our system requires no excavation or prep work of any kind to be installed or relocated.
-
Flexibility
Again, because of its modular nature, the system has an almost infinite capacity to extend itself and configure itself according to client preferences.
-
Adaptability
We’ll bend over backwards to give our clients the system they need. For example, although the original BIXI system was created to run on solar power, one of our clients wanted it hooked up to the city’s power grid. Not a problem. Individual components or the entire system can be adapted to suit the needs of our clients.
-
We deliver
Our system was created in less than 11 months, from the granting of the mandate to the first unveiling. We not only deliver great projects. We deliver them on time. Or ahead of time. A habit that we don’t plan on changing.
